Dr. Doyle has served as Director of Missions (Associational Missionary) for the Piedmont Baptist Association since September 1, 2003. His ministry began in the pastorate in Kentucky, his native state. He served as pastor of three churches while completing his undergraduate, graduate and post graduate degrees. Dr. Doyle then came to the Triad to pastor the Hispanic Baptist Church in Kernersville, NC from 1992 to 2000. He and his wife served as the On-site Coordinator for Disaster Relief in Honduras (NC Baptist Men) from January 2000 to January 2001. Though he says his favorite restaurant is Green Valley Grill, he has been known to spend some time at Wholly Guacamole.

Favorite Scripture: 2 Corinthians: 4:5-6
"For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Mr. Tom Howe
Associate to the Director of Missions - Communications and Administration

Tom Howe came on staff in October of 2005 to serve as the Associate Director of Missions in the areas of Communication and Administration. Tom, who has never been in vocational ministry before, brings an extensive background of management, marketing and community relations to the PBA. Before coming to this association, Howe was the General Manager of the Greensboro Grasshoppers Baseball Team in town and was with the Grasshoppers/Bats for five years. Before coming to Greensboro, Tom was in management of two other baseball franchises in NC. While Tom was at the helm of the Hoppers, he was named Sales Executive of the Year in 2003 and the Executive/General Manager of the Year in 2005 while the Hoppers were named Organization of the Year in that same year. Tom spends most of his efforts on helping churches plan and promote events, network together and reach out to their communities.

Tom was born and raised in California and moved to NC at 19 years of age. His wife, Kami, is originally from Greensboro and they currently reside in McLeansville where they attend Calvary Baptist Church. Tom and Kami have two children, Noah and Luke, who are three and one years old, respectively. Tom is an avid Fresno State Bulldogs fan even though most people have never heard of them!

Favorite Scripture: Luke 2:49
"And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's Business?"

Rebecca Newlin
Administrative Assistant

Rebecca came to the PBA Staff in November of 2005 in the role of Administrative Assistant. In addition to the many administrative duties she takes care of around the office, Rebecca also puts together the PBA monthly newsletter, The Challenger. If you have ever called the PBA, you most likely have been met with Rebecca's gracious voice on the other end and her servant's spirit.

Rebecca, her husband William, and her daughter Sarah (17), live in Burlington, NC where they have more pets than you could imagine. They attend First Baptist Church in Whitsett. She claims her greatest reward is being blessed with her daughter, Sarah, and the one thing she loves doing more than anything else is "spending time with my family."

Favorite Scripture: Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
