What does it mean to be a part of the Piedmont Baptist Association?
Our vision is simple: To see our community radically transformed by the power of Christ. It is important to note at the very heart of this vision are three, non-negotiable core values.
- First and most important, we value the radical transformation of every person living in this county. Each of these people matters to God, so they matter to us.
- Second, we value the local congregation as God's chosen instrument to bring about radical transformation in this community.
- Third, we value every leader and every future leader whom God has chosen and called to lead His people in this life-changing mission. These values drive and sustain our vision: to see our community radically transformed by the power of Christ.
We believe the PBA will add value to congregations by focusing on these three areas:
- Developing Missional Leadership. Discovering and cultivating new and existing leaders, who will help the congregations become missional in their focus on the community, and incarnational in how they live out the Good News in their context.
- Empowering Missional Impact in the Community. Helping congregations discover the gaps that hinder us from realizing our vision of a radically transformed city, and then to facilitate filling the gaps through collaborative missional projects.
- Facilitating Congregational Networking. Facilitating the formation of missional networks between congregations within the PBA, congregations outside the PBA family, as well as between individuals and community agencies.
